Singapore School Calendar 2026
Singapore's Ministry of Education (MOE) divides the school year into four terms, each followed by a vacation period. Here is the complete school holiday calendar for 2026 for government and government-aided primary and secondary schools.

Singapore Public Holidays 2026
The following public holidays fall on weekdays in 2026 and will be observed as school holidays:
- 1 January — New Year's Day
- 28–29 January — Chinese New Year
- 3 April — Good Friday
- 1 May — Labour Day
- 13 May — Vesak Day (approximate, confirmed by HPB)
- 1 June — Hari Raya Haji (approximate, confirmed by MUIS)
- 9 August — National Day
- 20 October — Deepavali (approximate)
- 25 December — Christmas Day

P1 Registration 2026 — Key Dates
For parents with children starting Primary 1 in January 2027, the P1 registration exercise takes place during Term 3 2026. Key milestones include:
- Phase 1: July 2026 (typically first week)
- Phase 2A1 & 2A2: July 2026 (second week)
- Phase 2B: July 2026 (third week)
- Phase 2C: August 2026 (first two weeks)
- Phase 2C Supplementary: August 2026 (third week)

Planning Tips for 2026 School Holidays
- June holidays are the longest school break (4 weeks) — ideal for extended family travel
- March and September breaks are one week each — good for short trips or enrichment activities
- Year-end holidays overlap with Christmas and New Year, making travel more expensive — consider November as a quieter alternative
- Book popular holiday programmes and enrichment classes early, as they tend to fill up fast during the June and year-end breaks
