Singapore Secondary School PSLE Cut-Off Points

Secondary school admission in Singapore is primarily based on the PSLE (Primary School Leaving Examination) results. From 2021, MOE moved from the T-score system to Achievement Level (AL) scoring, where each subject is graded AL 1 (best) to AL 8. The PSLE aggregate is the sum of AL scores for 4 subjects, ranging from AL 4 (best possible) to AL 32.

Students are posted to secondary schools through the Secondary 1 (S1) Posting Exercise, taking into account PSLE aggregate score, school choice, and citizenship status (Citizens are given priority over PRs and International Students for the same PSLE score).

Schools offering the Integrated Programme (IP) allow students to proceed directly to a pre-university qualification (A-Levels, IB, or a school diploma) without sitting the O-Levels. These programmes are generally more competitive.

Cut-off points shown are indicative figures based on the last student posted in each year's S1 Posting Exercise. Actual cut-offs may vary depending on the cohort size, school vacancies, and DSA (Direct School Admission) allocations.
