Hardest Primary Schools to Get Into

Ranked by Phase 2C demand ratio (applicants ÷ places) · Based on 2024 MOE data

How We Rank Difficulty

Schools are ranked by how hard they are to get into during Phase 2C of the P1 registration — the main open ballot phase available to all Singapore Citizens and PRs. The “demand ratio” measures the number of Phase 2C applicants divided by the number of places taken.

A ratio of 3.0x means 3 families applied for every 1 place — extremely competitive. Schools with ratios above 1.0x triggered balloting, where admission depends on home-school distance priority (within 1km, 1–2km, beyond 2km).

Note: Difficulty to get in does not indicate school quality. Many excellent schools have available places because they are newer or in less densely populated areas.
